At this stage everything is pre-recorded
But could easily switch it up into a livestream
Never done that before
Sonic the episode are pre-recorded, and getting guests is not an issue, why do you need to fill in with a “what’s interesting” monologue?
Why not just publish early or have a stack of 3-5 episodes you keep on the back shelf for when someone cancels and it can’t be rescheduled quick enough?

Some learnings from before
- pre recorded month old episodes are out of date, so you have to be careful conversations don’t get stale
- I prefer to record and release within a week, but this does leave less schedule errors (like what’s happening right now)
- as a host, you get really good at listening, which is great, but sometimes it’s nice to get up and talk yourself. These monologue episodes are designed to scratch that itch as and when they come up
Ultimately, if people don’t like the content, that’s totally fine, stop watching. It’s my belief that this is all about long-term content creation, so it’s important to try lots of things. I might well do what you suggested
