The question is how to pay for it without gross monetization, or we literally are just a TikTok clone.

i was just thinking about what would onboard more users, and i think that’s the only thing i know of (other than a youtube) that would bring in people.
Exactly, hosting multimedia files has a high cost in the medium term and connecting to new clients and servers today is impractical because there is no standard (Damus still does not connect to nostrcheck for example).
I believe that in the next few weeks we will make a lot of progress in this aspect and I am confident that we will finally have a NIP that will allow hundreds of alternatives to flourish, for profit and non-profit.
