Being custom doesn't add much (unless it has some switch), games can only read 15 blocks and Crash games will only load one block per memory card.. but yeah I'm in need of a extra memory card already
There are memory cards with a physical switch that let you choose between 4 states, that all act like memory cards, I remember having them back in the day. I remember there was a guy making those at home and selling them, he even taught me how to, but that was a long time ago. Today I bet you can find something where you stick an SD card and have almost slots (1 block was 8kb)
