Grandparents were onto something…

Early to bed, early to rise. Real food, cooked slow. No seed oils, no doomscrolling, no pointless noise. Just books, belly laughs, and brutally honest one-liners. Retired from the rat race, posted up on the porch—simply existing.

Maybe they cracked the code while we chase the illusion.

You're comparing people where seed oils weren't commonly available, and cellphones didn't exist to us today.

The default life enabled them more easily.

To remove the toxins like microplastics, seed oils, etc. that exist today you have to use tools like Yuka, or read through the entire ingredients list, healthy living isn't the default so most people won't take the extra step to do it.

They also had the best economic tailwinds ever so that kinda changes the context, but I get your point

The only thing I disagree with is early to bed, early to rise. We evolved with night owls and morning people alike for a reason. Because those early to bed people needed someone to watch over them while they slept.

the future of health is in the past
