I was never issued a side arm. I wasn't cool enough for that. 😂

I can shoot some Glocks well enough, but... It takes more to get hits.

My built pistols are cake, compared. 1911 grip angle and better texture, IMO. I haven't even swapped out the triggers on the 19 and 17 sized builds since they work well enough. I've mostly been shooting my EDC pistol to get better with it.

What do you currently use for your EDC?

Springfield Hellcat. Stupidly good to shot got how small it is, even with +P hollow point defensive ammo.

Hollow point? 😂 Who do you plan on shootin'?!

Unarmored humans and dogs, if need be.

I'm not good enough to reliably headshot armored assailants with a pistol yet.

Even with armor, my guess is three .45 LC packing 1300 ftlbs to the rib cage is going to take your wind and knock you down. If you’re quick the other three are available for close range follow up. I think with powerful cartridges six is always enough. Worst case, six with six more on a speed loader.

Overall, you're correct. My only counterpoint is that multiple assailant incidents are on the rise. More firepower in hand is a very good thing, IMO

I agree, I tend to see it as I’m either being prepared while participating in polite society, or I’m coping with a combat zone in which case the loud-out would be substantially different. There are situations in which probably being prepared adequately all the time is unreasonable, and that lack of adequate preparedness means assured defeat. There are legal ramifications to consider surrounding a defensive shooting scenario with lots of preparedness. It doesn’t look good in court. For me it boils down to assessing risk. Multiple assailants? Probably just give them what they want.
