You have to be the algorithm, follow npubs and hashtags you like. Global is mess it takes time to curate. A good strategy is to find an npub you love and then follow everything they follow.
Me "being the algorithm" is cringeworthy. I do not work for the application, it should work for me.
But past that, I've got one group or tag or whatever, that populates fine. The Conversations tab has nothing, regardless of the fact I'm currently in a conversation. Then there's Global, which is useless to anyone not a NEET.
You do not work for an application, but you do work for engagement and social connections, just like outside in meatspace.
You are not working for the application, you’re working for yourself (curating your feed exactly how you want to see it)
Every time I go to global I end up seeing something horrible and regret it 😂

I went onto Global initially and did the curate thing… some wild stuff on here - really opened my eyes 😂
Global feed is a mess.
Once you follow a few accounts you like, it’s increasingly easy to find others.
You can also “log in” as someone else in Read-Only mode to find more follows… but there isn’t great UX yet to easily navigate between.
Your enjoyment relies on the connections you forge; discovering your community is a gradual process--hang in there for the journey.
