I haven't traveled more than 100 miles from my house in over a year. Discipline & patience are easier when you embrace the simple stuff, like naps in the sun, a good walk or book, the magic of the world.

I still struggle with focus, but it's getting better. Scattering subtle reminders of my aims around every space I inhabit seems to help me a lot. I spend too much time in motion for traditional methods.

I set some goals at the beginning of the year, check in with myself occasionally, and hold myself accountable as best as possible. Been smashing some, on the health, financial (reduction), and project sides. Inner stuff is lacking a little. Expectation & validation, mainly. Pretty normal stuff. Dwelling in a state of hope both helps & hurts with those, depending on the day. 😅

I still have no clue where my current path is taking me, but it's been mostly pleasant. For now, I've accepted that some decisions can't be rushed & others may be best decided by what's happening around me. Open, aware, and cautiously optimistic. 😊

You are crushing it. I rate it at least 20% better than my own progress.

Stay frosty.

Thanks, sir. No measuring sticks. I'm glad you are making headway on your goals. I know some of them are tough ones

Yeah and tonight, wiping partition headers on both disks that store my Bitcoin wallet, and I didn't insure against this... I feel very small and stupid right now.

Oh no! So many questions...

Yeah, if it's gone I can't even make this month's rent

Ouch! We're our own worst enemies sometimes. Good luck sounds shallow, but... good luck

It means a lot, I sure am getting a lesson today

Bitcoin core doesn't do HD by default and I hadn't actually backed dat ass up lol

I've had generally fortunate experiences in prior data loss recovery incidents so I am optimistic, but some days the bomb has your name on it

Good chance of at least a partial recovery... A simple tool that just detects possible wallets showed dozens on both disks and I will soon have both fully duplicated

My likely worst case is losing my September's paycheck... But I hadn't touched that utxo and made a dozen others later so likely that even is there... Anyway, still in process... 4tb is a long time to copy, even when writing to a 3500mb/s nvme

A man walking through the forest found himself lost and frustrated. He wouldnt be able to continue on the path he wanted. He lamented how he hated not knowing where he was and having no control of the situation. He screamed at the forest with frustration. Once he stopped, the forest answered, "Everyone is lost in life, keep moving forward and find a river to guide you where you are supposed to be not where you want to be." The man headed the advice. When he returned to the beginning of the trail he met a woman, he decided that maybe taking that trail wasnt his path. The woman's name was river and the man was guided to his new home and family...where he was supposed to be. idk just needed to write this.

In regards of efforts to understand our relation with home places (houses) "... some tribes from South East Asia and Oceania rather travel several places along their life, making on each its own special dwelling relationships; they don't precisely locate their house in-the-world, rather they say the-world-is-the-house...", paraphrasing Sepp's as I don't have the right source at hand right now.
