Problem: whenever the motivation to do things come, I am compelled to work on EVERHTHING thats broken, missing or unfinished. And that is a lot of things in my life. And I quickly get overwhelmed. And then Im back to the beginning. Wallowing

A long time ago I had a mentor who was a dentist. At the time, I was going to be a dentist as well. He used to tell me “the minute you get home from work, do your studying before you sit down”. Once you take a load off, all of your momentum is gone. Insofar as you continue making strides, you’re still in motion. You can sequence how you get things done to be more effective, but ya gotta just keep moving. Stride after stride. A marathon is just a series of steps strung together. You don’t jump 26.1 miles in a single bound. It’s the series of each individual step. Get a few little victories in today.
