Right now nostr is being used for mostly social media. But it’s just simple json data and websockets.

Marketplaces can be built, and public keys can have reputation attributed to them. Goods can be bought and sold without one person needing to know anything about the other besides their public key.

In the future, websites will interact with one another through nostr. I can tag a public key on my website, and the person will be notified. Then they can interact with my website, and other clients will show a link to my site. This massively changes discoverability.

For example, suppose I submit a review of a product on Amazon, and on Damus everyone will see my comment. Above the comment will be a link to the Amazon product I’m reviewing. The entire internet can be connected, without any centralized company controlling, or even knowing, our data.
