We’re working with our teenagers that they lead the way with adult interactions. How are they gonna make it on their own if they don’t learn that now?
I encourage our 6yr old to talk to people. Shes still a bit shy but I mean we need to gauge situations and learn to grow with the unknown.
When I was 17 i needed money mom drove but she didn’t get out of the car, she wasn’t looking for a job.
Exactly. Start them young. They can order their own food at a restaurant, for example.

Had that happen when I was working at a Starbucks. As soon as they left, manager turned around and threw the resume in the trash.
Gotta build the confidence and independence to manage things on your own.

Of course it was Dads, he felt his son should be working closer to his future industry rather than working in a kitchen.
Wow! I was going door to door handing out business cards for my babysitting business at 12yrs old…. It’s a shame some parents aren’t imparting these life skills sooner…🤔
