How common is a segregated signing lightning node setup? Essentially like:

LN->(watch-only LN node)->(Signing LN node /w single gRPC connection)

The watch only having chain data and the signer having a single connection for signing channel states.

Is this necessary to keep Private keys reasonably secure while using Lightning?
