That's a truism, so who am I to disagree.

However, some things fail faster than others because their setup was bad to begin with.

That's exactly what happens when you allow the consumer/producer dichotomy in communication dynamics.

You're right, it exists and always will, but that doesn't mean you have to push it all the way in social media design decisions.

We need smarter trade-offs here.

I see a lot of potential for individuals to get value back from their broadcasted content if they do it on nostr.

It’s still early, but it’s happening already. Maybe we’re not seeing the same content. Or maybe we spend our sats differently but I do v4v often. 4 times a week at least.

It's not about the quality of the content or the ability to send money to someone whose content I like.

It's about making too strong a connection between them.

If we can avoid that, nostr would benefit immensely in its sustainable growth.
