Listening to Podcasts

The fastest way to start stacking sats on Fountain is to simply listen to your favorite show. Right away, you’ll start stacking sats each minute you listen for up to an hour per day.

The amount you earn is random, so you should expect to earn different amounts on different days.

Tried to upload my music on it. Failed :(

My understanding is that you’re not really uploading on it. Your feeding it a list (rss feed) of podcasts that are hosted on another platform.

If you put your songs as podcasts on a fountain-compatible podcaster platform (ex: anchor or soundcloud - read on fountain what platforms are compatible) then generate a rss feed from that platform, you should be in business.

Not sure if individual music is allowed since it's for Podcasters only. I could be wrong but it looks like Fountain is getting the feed from https://podcastindex.org/.

Have you tried #[4] ? We can help you out

How does wavlake work? Just upload songs directly?

Basically, yes. The music then shows up in our player and also gets published/distributed through open RSS feeds that any v4v player like Fountain can pull in. We also have embeddable music players that work on some Nostr clients (Snort/Iris/Nostrgram to name a few). You can boost an artist directly through this player, too!

Heard about it from #[7] !

Haven't tried it yet, still trying to get the hang of Fountain lol

I created my artist profile and my first album, but now when I upload my music it says "error creating track" :(

File size might be too big? We're currently limiting users to 12MB uploads (to be increased in the future)

I'm at about 30-70 mo per track

If you can get it down to a smaller mp3 file it should work. We have to compress anyway to stream efficiently

Do you know a way I can compress a wav file and transfer it to mp3 easily? (I suck at tech, mybad)

I'm using this free open-source tool:

Can I upload an .mp4 video file to Wavlake too? Thanks.
