nostr:npub106n0pzzm6jk9mfh3xvlhh53qn7kjz8ja4f8h8r3n6ap706wvtahqltvfwa i think it's worth looking at China's experience in Africa here. A lack of experience with proper colonialism has been very expensive for powers that weren't traditionally colonial (Russia's conquest of Siberia notwithstanding.)

It's not a simply change of flags on the board. There are countries and companies with mineral leases and investments that are quite capable of backing the opposition in severe ways.

East Congo, with its 100 Trillion in natural resources is locked down completely with Clinton, Julian Bond and other's shoreline estates in Rwanda to watch over the proceedings
