That's a science-fiction-sized "If".

Even back to the Roman Empire, Africans rarely controlled African resources, and when they did, it ended up with a situation like Zimbabwe or South Africa.

Regardless of BRICS/RU politics, all that has ever happened in where there is exploitable resources in Africa is the transition between warlords, strong men, and foreigners.

nostr:npub106n0pzzm6jk9mfh3xvlhh53qn7kjz8ja4f8h8r3n6ap706wvtahqltvfwa i think it's worth looking at China's experience in Africa here. A lack of experience with proper colonialism has been very expensive for powers that weren't traditionally colonial (Russia's conquest of Siberia notwithstanding.)

It's not a simply change of flags on the board. There are countries and companies with mineral leases and investments that are quite capable of backing the opposition in severe ways.
