If I am a business, a content creator, or just an average user who is just starting out. Whether the funds go back onto my on-chain wallet, after my lightning channel was randomly closed without a reason, is frankly inconsequential. The fact that my channel can be closed at any time for any reason you decide whatsoever. Will cause an unwanted interruption to my ability to receive sats and earn an honest living. If you want to retain this extreme power over channel closures please clearly define the terms and conditions for closing a channel.

Also lets say a person is selling a product makes their first sale. They are a small business owner who does not have enough to purchase a upgraded plan now, but they intend to soon with their profits. A hurricane roles on through the south, knocks out the mobile and home internet. It doesnt come back up for 3 days. They come back online only to find that they lost their first big customer, the funds were returned, they are pissed and do not want to repurchase, because they think you are unprofessional. Then for a final slap in the face the channel that they opened with some funds they deposited into it for zapping nostr users is closed for a random reason too.

Also, as I was previously writing this post. My own power went out due to high winds and knocked out my internet for a couple minutes. I laughed hilariously at the absolute irony. I want your project to succeed. I am not tearing it apart. If you want people to take this more seriously it needs to be clearly defined with better terms and conditions. It would be a worthwhile investment to hire a tech lawyer. Have them take a look at it and say I want to have maximum protection for my business, but I also do not want this to be the exact opposite of ambiguous. This will cover your ass and also ensure that potential new customers like me who were ready to give it a go do not go running for the hills.

I would also highly recommend that as an alternative to refunding the sats to the original sender if you do not open the app within 24 hours. Why not just auto-transfer the sats into the on-chain wallet. Sure, it would be a slight pain in the ass to open up a new channel, but at least it would not cause potentially disastrous interruptions to my ability to earn a living and lose a sale.
