Using iMessage to send sats makes no sense to me. If you have Sats, you have a Lightning wallet so why put Apple in the middle of the transaction?

Because the devs like to circle jerk online about their useless stuff.

💯

when I want to send bitcoin to a friend without asking for an invoice, I can just send it directly. With LN you need an invoice or an address (unless the recipient is saved as a BOLT12 contact). better ux for normies.

You can do that just as easily using lightning addresses. There’s plenty of people here that don’t know

My personal phone number or email, but know my lightning address.

That’s cool! Sounds like you’re pretty comfortable with your LN setup and a bit more on the advance side!

The Macadamia extension probably isn’t useful for you. Some things aren’t for everyone.

Android?

Macadamia is iOS only. It’s built in Swift, so apple native.

‚Only use mints you trust‘ ☝️

Done! Very cool, if not a little niche!

GM ☕🇧🇷🤙

Someone has been cooking … and this Macadamia thing is quite awesome.

Macadamia is awesome

super simple app. do wish i could NWC with it though

New release of Macadamia ecash wallet 🔥 🧡

The team building Macadamia out have done an awesome job of seamlessly integrating eCash into iMessage .. beautiful 😍

BUT .. that's not the most significant feature!

The simple genius in this release is that if I'm using Cashu mint.X, and I send you sats on iMessage, macadamia automatically adds the mint I'm using (mint.X) to your list of mints

This is subtle genius:

- removes the need to for the recipient to choose a mint (wtf is a mint?)

- propagates the mint I already trust, to my buddy I've sent sats to

- expands the userbase of each mint

.. and most importantly ..

Increases the number of mints each user has

This plays well with subsequent sends sourced from multiple mints

Hell yeah!
