When I tried to help people become rich they laughed at me.

I’m not upset about the laughter, it doesn’t bother me personally, but I do find it extremely confusing.

The veil will drop from their eyes in time. Hopefully…

I didn’t 🫡

They still laugh even after seeing the success of bitcoin and seeing themselves fall behind, extremely confusing

I've heard less laughter recently.

It is very confusing though. On some lower level I think they don't want to see you succeed.

That story you shared about trying to help your best friend was quite powerful. I no longer bring up bitcoin to anyone any longer unless the conversation naturally leads itself there. Also no longer push it ever. They have to want to learn.

Things made much more sense for me when I realized the majority of people want to stay poor and/or have their wealth lose purchasing power over time as long at they are doing whatever everyone else is doing

For poors, it's gucci DoorDash and car notes. For midwit fintwit, it's index fund investing. Two sides of the same fiat coin

Had something similar when helping explain people about the 💉

Not so much laughter, but hate.

In many regards, if the TV doesn’t say it ‘then it can’t be true’.

For some, Bitcoiners sound to them how shitcoiners sound to us

Right, they don't know the diff. All they hear on the news is crypto scams.

People laughing when you try to show them money that wont steal from them is extremely confusing

it drives me insane tbh

I get it. I stopped trying partly because of this

that why i say I understand rich people now, poor people are dumb.

My brother told me he was bad with money over xmas break and was getting a small settlement from a car accident. He knows I am good with money, and I offered to take a small sum and invest it into bitcoin. He said no, I hate bitcoin. I asked why, and he gave some lame bullshit excuse about why I treated him like he never had any “whole bitcoins before” and that he hated the fact that when he wanted to sell them, he couldn’t access them. He shut me down, told me to stop talking about bitcoin to him- etc. i made one more attempt- I offered to simply keep his cash and I would invest the equivalent of my cash into bitcoin. When he needed the money he couldn’t access have whichever was worth more. “I said, no!” Was the response, to which I calmly replied, “ok”. And that is the end of that.

**when he needed the money he could have whichever was worth more.

It sounds like there is a lot more going on than just misunderstanding bitcoin. I could even imagine a similar conversation if you were making suggestions for his health problems.

True enough.

🥲

It be like that. Until they get it. If they get it. All you can do is keep trying to help. There are right 👂’s and 🧠’s out there for that type of content. Unfortunately they are harder to reach because 99% of people are sheep.

I don’t think 1% is just “wealth”

I think the 1% is a mindset.

It is a away of life

Help those who actually want to be helped.

With the rest you are unfortunately wasting your time. 🙁

I was having an online discussion with someone who said he hated government money and so had decided to only use cash. I agreed that out of all the forms of gov money, cash was probably best but had he looked into bitcoin? He said that a rich friend had tried to get him into it years ago but he wasn't interested because that kind of thing is only for wealthy people.
