Tbh I have no freaking idea how the relays work. But #asknostr should provide.

You can start here https://nostr.how/en/relays 😉

Don't make me do homework.... yet.

Are these all paid relays?

I don’t think so. You can sort em out between public and paid (and a few other options)

Both free and paid relays. You can also check this list of paid ones by nostr:npub10jnx6stxk9h4fgtgdqv3hgwx8p4fwe3y73357wykmxm8gz3c3j3sjlvcrd 😉 https://relay.exchange

Thanks! How can I find out spec comparisons of paid vs free relays? What type of infrastructure is required to build a solid paid relay?

Not sure if there’s a site with relay specs - paid ones don’t necessarily have to be better in terms of hardware.

I run my relay on 2gig ram, 2 cpus and it handles couple hundred clients just fine.

Here’s a guide to set up one: (nostream)
