It’s how the protocol and data going over relays works currently. Others are doing the same and I’m just throwing my hat in the ring to highlight the issue and educate users. The feeling so far about this platform is that it feels like an echo chamber. I hope as it grows the community embraces and engages the dissenters and skeptics of #nostr.

The email analogy threw me off a bit. I’m new to nostr and I think that analogy just confused me. There is nothing more centralized than modern day email that is stored and processed on company servers and locks you in with a company domain.
Given that #nostr is decentralized by design, users who don’t want porn on their timelines need relays that filter out porn. Not sure if this is possible but I would certainly be interested. Porn is a dangerous drug.
At the moment, there is child porn on the public relays. I believe stuff like that needs a protocol level solution..
