BIP32 key derivation + BIP39 mnemonics will help you restore your Cashu ecash if you lose access to your wallet.

oh man... I need to implement BIP 32 on Amethyst (Java/Kotlin), but it seems so difficult to get it right.
Why so? If you stick to your derivation path and properly keep track of your counter (that's maybe the hard part), it seems pretty straightforward.
My brief review of the BIP 32 implementations is that they are quite big and I don't know why...
any thoughts on bringing cashu to amethyst ? I new to it
So if you have a BIP-39 recovery phrase from a bitcoin hot wallet can you start a cashu wallet with the same phrase? Is that a no no? Or just not possible?
With the obvious caveat there that you have to expose the phrase to the cashu client
Yes it would work but would be very risky to enter your seed anywhere (depending on what else you use the Bitcoin wallet for). The Cashu derivation path will be different from the on of your Bitcoin wallet though, so no interference expected.
When you think this will hit the pwa
Hello calle, just listening to your WBD interview, half way through. Listened to the fedimint podcast yesterday and tried it out, but it was so much easier to use Cashu and it works on tor, which fedimint is struggling with. This is definitely the next big thing in bitcoin. It might kill Monero and its value proposition ! Please make it secure for real world money so i can start using it for projects :D
No way to make scammy money on this like with shitcoins or being early adopter (besides building useful projects) but it's exciting to be so early on this. This will make noster zaps soooo much easier to receive (no need for alby or wallet of shitoshi)
thanks for your work on this !
