A truly decentralized app can live on any system. But to do the most good for the most people, distribution to a wide audience, helps to grow the network effects. You can want both.

You can want both, but if you're purchasing products from companies who won't give you both, you're not really being deprived of any right or privilege. Apple can do what they want with their products, the question will always be "How far are you willing to bend over?" 😂

it's the seemingly prevalent cognitive dissonance being held amongst ios users that nostr is awesome partly because of its decentralized nature but also we need to have our walled garden application when there great, feature-rich alternatives out there that are cross platform, which means they can benefit from a large user base than just OS specific apps.
