Is it good if bitcoin passes hand to hand, but on layers like lightning and fedimint or ecash, or even side chains like liquid?

Or does it need to be base chain?

What do you mean need? It can't be on base chain, and it never will on base chain, regardless of how you feel.

Bitcoin can only scale on layers.
