a client with advertising would likely get minimal adoption compared to similar free ones. so while people might try, i’m guessing they’ll mostly be dead-ends

This too. My dream relay would distribute profits from spammers amongst well-behaved clients. It’s a win for all.

interesting possibility - but i’d guess amounts would end up being too minor to matter compared to the hassle. good thing is at least it can be tried!

I don’t know how accurate this figure is but if true it would translate into a LOT of sats for users watching ads.

oh yeah, ads are big business today. i just wonder if the numbers will be as large once the control points change
