I think the point is... when you sit in the corner of your pod, plugged into your permitted metaverse, your world under CBDC will appear green, ordered, and beautiful.

But it's a world where central banks still exist and have increased their reach into your life.

At this point, unless you are in a parallel society living on bitcoin standard and sourcing all your needs through such a community, (even physically relocating to provide a better vires in numeris), it is unlikely that you will taste any of the technocratic advancements. These advancements (along with control of now scarce resources) belong to a small elite group who live like the aristocracy of old, a different world altogether to the micromanaged serflike existence of those stayed just below the culling threshold. To be clear, CBDC is an instrument of control, it doesn't magic any new wealth or incentive into existence, it simply rations out what little is left as the empire of lies crashes to zero.
