It's linear, if you can warp the space around you, and **fall** to where you need to be 😏

I love this ❤️ You have no idea how much. quadratic is my favourite word. Thank you for sharing :)

Had to check what are the nuances of the meaning of it in English as wasn't sure "quadratic" means the same in Italian.

Went further and read about two interesting concepts..

- The Quadratic Paradox: a quadratic life is a paradoxical concept, where the pursuit of quadratic growth and progress leads to self reinforcing cycle of complexity and chaos. Unchecked growth could be dangerous hiding the importance of balance in life.

- The Quadratic Self: a quadratic life is a reflection od individual's quadratic nature, with its ups and downs, twists and turns. This could be seen as a commentary on the complexities of human nature, and importance of self-awareness and introspection.

hinking about life as quadratic, or better, as a quadratic journey is a beautiful concept that I like, and I see kinda see correlation wity my own one. The ups and downs in the pursuit of self progress and growth, and the concept of how it can lead to disconnection and disillusionment, with this becoming constant challenge of the "hero's journey" if we embrace the transformative journey of self discovering. Give me ☯️ vibes.. but I see it everywhere lol.

Thanks for this food thoughts 😁🤙🏼🫂

I first learnt about the quadratic function from Jamie, my data analysis professor. He helped me understand the concept.

I studied acting too and was surprised to learn that this is how I tend to break a script down. It’s never linear, always nonlinear. I tend to have a habit of looking at a film to see if the glass is full behind the eyes in a scene. You can usually tell if an actor has done the homework, a recent example I think would be Demi Moore in ‘Substance’, the bathroom scene after Dennis Quaid finishes his monologue on the mobile, her reactions in the mirror - no words, just wow. Some great actors can do it so well -Gene Hackman (the French connection), Robert De Niro (Cape Fear, I mean just wow), Gena Rowlands (A Woman Under the Influence), Sally Hawkins (the shape of water), Bette Davis (Of Human Bondage), Meg Ryan and Tom hanks ( sleepless in Seattle and you’ve got mail), James Stewart - like everything he has done, Daniel Day- Lewis (There will be blood), Philip Seymour Hoffman - like everything he does, Jimmy dean (rebel without a cause) and Marilyn Monroe (misfits), so many and too many to name here.

The French call it “deuxième degré” meaning to the second degree.

I just never knew maths explained it too:

𝑌 = 𝑏 + 𝑚1𝑋 + 𝑚2𝑋^2
