Yesterday, I went to Melbourne’s Crown Oaks day and visited the horses in the stable. I walked past a very long line of people queuing for the birdcage club and turned left instead to see the horses in the stables. I met Detonator Jack before his race and he was so gentle and handsome. He was sired by Jakkalberry and his mum/dam is Red Delicious. He is a thoroughbred horse born 3rd November in New Zealand, 2018. He was coming last in the pack in his race and made his way to first in the last seconds, and then finished second. I’m so proud of him, I went and spoke with him after the race too.

Great talk! Yeah, agree with nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 about web of trust. It promotes status quo network effect or amplification based on people’s perceptions of others which can be linked to inference bias or agendas. A single point of failure. I think statistical probability of patterns of spam could maybe work. I’m not sure.

exploring blockchain technology at the moment for a different user case. I’m a beginner here.

What is the smart-contract blockchain token trap? SimpleX talks bout server costs too? I’m confused why they have server costs, if they are not supposed to carry your data.

Omg hilarious

Guess disney hasn’t opted out with whichever model this is.

Very cool design though, makes me remember the episode when Homer entered our world. That was my favourite episode.

This week’s episode of revolution.social is with nostr:npub15te6px95354v4ravtqje00ngvpx6xj4ghfahmu3hc3pdvlxu8kkseeqc9m we’re we talk about social media for AI agents to talk to each other, how he went from a nomadic anarchist circus performer to being CTO of the Obama re-election campaign where they developed radical new forms of targeting voters.

Love what Harper said bout paper vs iPad. Thanks again Rabble. I listen via YouTube on my walks and your talks are helping me learn so much 🙏

I am glad it is good on your end. I rarely use. Have noticed though Gpt5 thinking is having issues remembering previous iterations and changes concepts completely.

Wait until you try refinement through iterations for something different that builds upon this decision tree you have created. Quality goes down fast. You’ll see.

Yeah, I know Emile Sherman and the production team. He encouraged me to send my work to him. Still cannot believe this, but he watched a short film I wrote and directed once and apparently he shared it with Jane Campion. I might see him again when I’m in Sydney next, if I do, I’ll 💯 let him know how much you guys like slow horses. I’ll show him in person what you said on nostr. He’ll definitely love to see it :) he values truthful feedback.

Omg, listening now, it’s so good. Thanks tidal and nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m for this gift today :) don’t really know Taylor’s music, but these lyrics are so real.

“Got me dreaming 'bout a driveway with a basketball hoop” and actually romantic is so different.

App Store update available nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg just updated and can get back in. Felt seamless once updated.

I asked 5 Thinking (rarely use) bout spam optimal solution, it’s funny cause it goes through your GitHub stuff when reasoning that is way over my head. Cute that it does that. This is what it said:

Today(no code)

-use password channels for real conversations (interesting but like I’m sure spam will keep getting access to unless changed daily, maybe tire it out :)

-Use built-in/block @name for obvious spam and keep local blocklists.

Building tomorrow

-layer 1: simple flood & duplicate control with token-bucket rate limits and as mesh already uses TTL routing, in busy venues, reduce hop TTL to shrink the attack surface.

Layer 2:

-Require tiny POW per public message.

Layer3:

-Per-key trust scores, new keys start in probation(slow rate) and include relay policy where nodes deprioritise or refuse to forward from low-reputation keys (oof hope that’s not my key)

Layer 4

-First-time posters must complete in-room handshake 🤝 like your QR idea or get a trust reaction from non-newbie before normal rates apply.

-Invite links for channels with password + short-lived QR code for events.

Layer 5

-ship a tiny Core ML text model to score spammy patterns which works for offline damping of bots (be interesting if you can get this embedded into iOS bitchat app)

How to geohash without doxxing:

-Channel geofence where rooms require senders to be inside target geohash cell (e.g., precision 6 ≈ ~1km, 7 ≈ ~150-200 m)

-witness attestations from nearby devices with truncated geohash, not raw coordinates.

-pop-up room with rotating QR or 6 digit code as proximity ticket, first time posters scan or enter, afterward post for grace period 24hr.

Ok, well that’s it from me, hope it helps.

P.S. I swear I am not spam.

"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future” Steve

Sam Altman mentioned in podcast Q* :) this is from economics and operations maths. Just means optimal path from inverting data. Probs to do with reasoning, he is not using ranking or stat probability with this. Interesting.

As Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody wrote “From Little Things Big Things Grow” - a beautiful song I’ve had on repeat.

Marilyn had one too :)

Happy birthday Jack 🎂 hope you have the best day!

Good morning

Okay, so I will get this more after I start watching tonight. The nuance and subtext in Kyle’s face is very clever thus far. I’m intrigued.
