What was it about his performance that wasn’t working? Just curious.
I don't think I've ever seen a movie he was in where I enjoyed his acting, and this one didn't make me change my opinion. I just find him underwhelming and not entertaining to watch. There are far better leaving men who could have been chosen.
Bridges & Boxleitner were excellent in the original, pioneering a new type of cinematography. Hedlund & Bridges (again) did a fine job in the sequel. Bridges was there once more for a bit of flavour in this one, but I don't think Leto is good enough to carry a film.
I loved the original Tron as a youngster, and the sequel a decade ago was ok. I'll admit there were good special effects in this one, but that's expected now. The soundtrack was good too, though I thing the Daft Punk score from Legacy is the best of the 3 films. I think it's time for Tron to be put to rest 🙏
thanks for letting me know the why. I studied acting, so I’m always curious bout the craft. My dad loved the original Tron. He also loved RoboCop. I’m gonna have to see the original Tron properly to take in the cinematography.
