It is a very niche network, it can't accommodate most people, it's very hard to use and everyone keeps talking about bitcoin. I don't want to use WhatsApp, but if every single one of my family members and friends use it, the price to pay is too high. What does Nostr offer to most people? I've been building for the past 2 years a Nostr client and I just don't see any of my friends or family dedicating the time to learn how to use it, the same goes for bitcoin.

I partially agree. I don’t see any of my friends or family taking the time to learn Nostr. However, I do see them starting to look at Bitcoin and figuring out an approach that works for them: slowly realizing it’s not about getting rich tomorrow, but about thinking long-term, 8+ years ahead.
I believe we’re still very early with Nostr. Just like Bitcoin, it will likely go through its own cycles of ups and downs, but instead of market cap, Nostr’s cycles will be about "user cap".
As we did with Bitcoin, we need to focus on improving the user experience on Nostr. We can’t just fake growth by zapping new users; they’ll leave as soon as the zaps stop. It needs to offer more than just “a Twitter clone with zaps.”
What can we build that can’t be replicated on X or other social platforms? What limitations do they have that we don’t on Nostr?
