Will the backup feature eventually become available to those of us with Pro accounts on StartOS who run Alby Hub connected to LND? If not is there a way to use LDK instead, on StartOS?

Right. With the dynamic backup feature in Pro, you don't need to close any channels anymore. Restore from backup and channels are back.

Unfortunately we can only offer that for the default Alby Hub with the integrated LDK node.

During the setup on nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll you can choose between Alby Hub on LND or Alby Hub on LDK node.
