All of the other recommendations are good. I’ll add The price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth and Check your Financial Privilege by Alex Gladstein. Then End the Fed by Ron Paul. Then tackle the Sovereign Individual. Maybe How to Pay for the War by Keynes.

If I were to choose just one I’d say the Sovereign Individual, but it’s a few decades old, and most of these other books prepare you to understand why it’s important.
