Twitter does a great job at keeping the context in this way. Media is indented under the user avatar. But when you tap into it, the media is centered and has less indentation

What about indenting on the left, but in combination with reducing the timeline profile picture size?

I find it unnecessary to have the avatars that prominent.

And let the content reach closer to the right edge.

I appreciate the widescreen impression that content can give with small indentation, but I can appreciate the case for structuring the timeline by with a separated avatar icon column.

Also, I think the ellipsis menu should replace the share menu.

Definitely room for experimentation! I just want people to consider this issue of maintaining a sense of place

Yeah, I noticed how passionately you felt about the issue, and I thought it deserved some engagement.

I currently lack the skills to implement any such changes for a PR, I can only hope that some of the project devs find the thread worthwhile to read.

For me, and I tried making a possibly obscure Roman history joke out of it, I feel as strongly about changing the recently introduced ellipsis menu. I think the current placement makes notes appear unnecessarily busy, alas, the sentiment seems to go unnoticed, perhaps deservedly though.

I am weirdly passionate about user experience yeah. Maybe that is where I should look for jobs. Just not very skilled in digital art and stuff
