Nice!! 🤙
if you bitcoin on a dedicated thinkpad using some flavor of linux you're golden. the rest is details.
and these are the details 👌
I ended up dumping Zorin OS Lite for Fedora Minimal w/ LXQt, instead.
will check out Fedora
Just throw the 'Everything' net installer on a thumb drive and select Minimal software during the installation wizard.
Fedora is awesome. Felt it was having too many updates for a Bitcoin dedicated machine though and occasionally issues with Sparrow updates. Slower LTS Debian bases played friendlier so ended up with LMDE.
If you install Fedora minimal via the Net Everything installer, then install only the desktop environment you require (lxqte, gnome, etc), it'll reduce the amount of updates and overall surface area drastically.
My #Bitcoin Machine only has ~1500 RPMs installed and runs at 5% CPU and <500mb memory.
I run ` dnf update --security --bugfix` often but only `dnf update` maybe once every other month.
Fully-enclosed, nondescript, open source, nomadic #Bitcoin machine.
