Google is straight AIDS. Would love to hear your feedback on battery life and general compute performance now that resources aren’t wasted on the Proverbiak Google Panoptic Colonoscopy isn’t running in the background
I run my fully enclosed #Bitcoin laptop with the battery out, power cable in.
That makes it impossible to transport without cutting power, encrypting the entire drive.

How important do you consider Coreboot is on a dedicated Bitcoin machine?
Depends.
The hypothesis is that the ME lets govs remotely control/read memory and CPU state, which would grant them access to decrypted disk space.
Assuming you kept your #Bitcoin keys airgapped from the machine, then the potential consequences of being targeted via the ME would seem to be (A) loss of privacy; ability to capture wallet balance, transactions, and any passphrases inputted directly into the machine and (B) the potential for a malware injected that lied to you about send or recieve addresses on screen.
These are high cost exploits for the state and the return is pretty low, so I would say overall it's a 'nice to have'.
