Is there some government regulation in the US constraining the rental markets from providing more furnished apartments?

Or is it just the consequence of US being on top of the fiat horse?

People move so often here, and each move is an encouragement for spending on big moving logistics and replacing perfectly good furniture with new one purchased on a credit card.

Maybe it's caused by the rental ownership being centralized in the big leasing developers...

For sure, seems like a high preference waste.

Americans want their own furniture always has been

This.

I’ve rented for 20 yrs. and owned a furnished rental property. Americans have furniture and don’t want to sell/store it to use their landlords unless it’s a short-term rental.

Furnished apartments very niche 99% do not want for anything beyond short term stays

But why?

It costs money, and then you have to deal with all the logistics for at least few days.

Same reason people use fiat. They're morons that paid attention in school.
