The Episcopal church recognizes same sex marriage. But individual priests have been known to turn down performing a same sex marriage.
Whereas in Catholicism what the Pope says goes and there’s no questioning it (he’s infallible), the Episcopal’s are more lenient in their practice.
That is kinda interesting. Sorta decentralized approach.
