Technically so did Amethyst, it was just via Google and the Play Store.

It’s too bad it didn’t work with Amber though. Last time I tried the workaround was to put the nsec directly in Amethyst

Yeah, if you didn't have Google Play, it was definitely a fucking mess. I pretty much never got my NTFY server to work for notifications.

On my stock Samsung tablet though, it seems to work pretty well.

I tried nfty and a google app too. None of them worked when I logged in through Amber

I tried both of those on Graphene and on stock Android. These apps didn’t like Amber

Oh, weird. I log in through amber on my tablet and I get notifications.

Doesn't that mean it's using apple push notification servers?

You have the choice of using those or the local ones in app

I guess I probably stopped using iOS before the local ones were a thing because I don't remember that being an option but that's cool

Local ones were available for a long time. Push came more recently
