These are insane numbers - 6 out of 10 single adults in the US have effectively opted out of dating.
These are ‘fabric of society’ altering numbers.

Not surprising. Society is broken thanks to constant victimisation and identity politics. Too risky to date without offending somebody somewhere
Luckily, I’m married with kids. Society was in a much better place in the early noughties
Even just ten years ago the woke crowd were just a group of crazies on an obscure corner of the internet (mostly Tumblr) I have no idea how it suddenly got so mainstream, but so glad I met my gf before clown world and Tinder.
Tinder effect
Online dating is a hellscape which appeals to the worst attributes of both sexes.
How have successful IRL dating services not emerged when dating is so crap?
Couldn't agree more. This another thing I liked about web 1.0. Because you just had people who were likeminded forming communities you could naturally meet someone if you turned out to be close irl.
Met multiple ex's like this.
Wouldn't even bother on Tinder or similar bullshit, but hopefully the direction Nostr is going in continues to cultivate the web 1.0 vibe where it was all chill and natural socialising without algos manipulating people into being angry and miserable.
But anyway as for irl just hit up meetups surrounding hobbies or interests likely to have a good gender mix. Much more chill and natural than shit like the club scene.
