You know pretty quickly when you encounter a person that does this. The conversations almost always leave both parties more empowered at the end. Regardless of whether opinions were changed in the process.
Pursuit of knowledge.
Obviously, one party has to take a risk and go first, so that the others can respond.
Couldn't agree more. Even if you encountr someone that doesn't do this - the conversation might be a good reminder for yourself, to stay on track; and a few more of those, might inspire the other, to start changing tracks.

Right or wrong path?! Who is to say. Test your thesis and refine your thesis. This is the way.
The path that was right for you maybe wrong for me. But I believe you will find your purpose in this approach.
