Hey but, I really didn't mean to offend you or anything? I don't know you.
If you're helping friends in Iran, maybe we can do something together. Living there has tought me the value of Bitcoin, because it's virtually impossible to get currency in an out of the country otherwise. Now I'm talking to a friend, to create a shop with Bitcoin on Nostr - she wants to sell her clothes online. I'm sure many like her, would take advantage of such a system. I mean, so much entrepreneurship there, it's fantastic.
Hah, if you send me some patience.
With that thing in the oven, the whole house smells.
2-3 hours, is the most I can handle personally ;)
You're right, sometimes it's easier or better to leave.
But what if you mostly like things, and just hope to change a few things?
Wouldn't it be better, to try to make change?
And I apologize; I didn't mean to have anyone by their throat.
If hiking and cooking is Tik-Toky, I don't know anything anymore ;)
Today I made my best ribs yet. Basically marinaded them in olive oil with paprica powder for 2 hours, and then popped-them into the oven at 150 degrees, for another 2 1/2 hours without foil or anything.
I never bothered to marinate them for this long, but the meat came out much softer this time. Seems like the olive oil had quite an impact.
I usually enjoy them plain, or with Mustard.

Yeah, that's super-tricky. I mean, there's plenty of people working on improving feeds. Stuff like https://oddbean.com/.
On one hand, I'm totally against that sort of thing. It's so bubbly; And most people will likely stick to one kind of feed, because that's what they become used to. That's why defaults are so powerful. That's why Twitter feed appears as much more interesting, out of the box - but it's also why I'm not on Twitter.
What to do.
Horrible, but their success speaks for itself (even though I don't agree with their means).
I think nerds just love what they do.
So there's cooking-nerds. Dog-neds. I don't know.
But yeah, I'll definitely post some more stuff too. More variety!
I love those. Feels like a community event ... you know, like they have in online role play games, where people gather in-game. That sort of thing. It's nice in limits ;)
Maybe we could have topic-specific zapathons?
Gardener zapathons
Astro zapathons
Yeah, on-boarding to Mastodon is hardly great.
If you look at it in isolation, Damus has great on-boarding for example; But that's just it. I guess you're already familiar with all this stuff? You hardly seem like the average dude with a phone in his hands.
Most people have trouble understanding where Bitcoin "is".
When I buy a wallet, does it mean, my Bitcoin is on that wallet? That kinda thing.
I've heard this plenty of times, on "popular" podcasts here.
Hence this reaction.
Absolutely, things will look totally different in a year.
Or maybe they won't. Maybe Nostr won't be around any longer, or the community just a few hundreds big. Or maybe, there's a better protocol, to replace Nostr - I don't know - What I know is, I'll keep complaining because usually complains yield good suggestions from people smarter than me.
Why do you keep engaging? ~
Either we have a normal conversation, or we don't.
This is kinda just wasting your time, unless you enjoy engaging me.
In which case, I won't stop you.
I can't. I guess that's the beauty of it all :)
Seen this; Was the first page I've looked at, developing a client :)
Yes sure, you're right. Mastodon ultimately is just an activity pub client / server; but that's exactly it. It's a brand by now. Nobody (99%) cares about the activity pub part, and most users relying on activity pub, are using Mastodon presumably (though that's really just a guess).
Yes, you're right. I usually hang on global though - maybe I don't have the right relays on. I'm sure if I invest more time, I can improve the experience --- but that's kinda it. How can we improve the onboarding experience?
Is there any other way to explore, except for tags?
Maybe some apps I'm missing that make this easier?
Okay? If you don't like me, why do you still engage? :)
Of course! I love Nostr! I develop for Nostr. That's why I care at all!
If you did a little research about me, you'd find out easily.
Not sure how one excludes the other, but okay.
