Nostr Web Client

Nsec is the identity of you on nostr as I interpret it. So to proove your identity your client needs to know your nsec.

I am happy to learn new things. This is as how I understand it today.

Maybe oversimplifying but nsec = id + access whereas pin is just one access component separated from other components including id

Yes. But therefore it is logical that you need to offer it to the client. Otherwise it can not encrypt your notes.

Depends on what you want to do. To just verify it’s you it’s not necessary to enter an nsec so I agree with the initial statement
