If you use sparrow, and you have 24 words, what is the point of having a third party hardware signing device? Could you not just use Sparrow on a laptop every single time? This would obviously involve recovering or importing the wallet each time, but couldn't you just opt out of having a device in general?
I wouldn’t do that. Having to enter my seed phrase on a vulnerable machine every time I need to do a transaction seems highly risky to me.
Makes sense. I've been limited to stacking only the last 6 years so haven't sent many tx's. Just did first two consolidations on small utxo's yesterday. Never really messed with Sparrow before that.
Your point is that if you have the hardware device, the keys never get entered on the laptop?

I wasn’t talking about using an Internet connect device to sign, I was talking about using your 24 words to sign in a fully off-line way with a new signing device, if your cold card dies
