So after working with support, it turns out my ColdCard is genuinely fucked up after a firmware upgrade and now there’s a brand new replacement in the mail coming my way.

After this experience I don’t think I can ever upgrade my new ColdCard’s firmware. Some day I won’t have warranty on it and if it gets bricked again I would need to buy a new one.

Sorry to hear you are going through this.

But this is a bit odd. Are others experiencing similar issues after the upgrade? Or you feel you are alone in this.

Was this device just upgraded or have you already been operating with it for a while?

Since December 19th. And I have already done transactions with it.

Ok. Did you bless the firmware? That’s something I did not do. Wonder if that would have prevented the issue.
