Guy I think you are missing something.
Trust in physics is not a choice, it simply is; rooted in the fundamental principles of entropy resolution and energy transformations. Similarly, Bitcoin eliminates the need for trust by anchoring its system to these same principles. You don’t ‘trust’ Bitcoin; it operates on the same immutable laws of physics. I am working on a paper to quantify the energy of Bitcoin blocks, which will make this connection even clearer.
Bitcoin is more than money. While satoshis are its monetary units, Bitcoin is a decentralized protocol that transforms energy into digital security, anchored to the laws of thermodynamics. Its blockchain resolves entropy, recording human decisions in an immutable ledger.
He knows all this, trust me (😏).
I mean, that is what my work is pointing to.
I have actually referenced your writing as being fundamental to my understanding. If you would actually like to have a discussion about this, I would be honored. I am looking for a small community of people to build general consensus around the idea before I publish. This is way bigger than me.
The goal was pretty simple, quantify the energy of a bitcoin block. It forces one to confront entropy & consciousness head on and grapple what trust in physics is.
