Yes in the underlying sense of we are all pawns in the system that’s completely true, that said left/right cultural capture is very real in America (not sure if you’re American) and the effects of these delusions have real consequences. So it’s something to call out and be aware of.

You’re calling out one side as if the other doesn’t do the exact same thing. And you’re assuming this was done by the “left,” when it just as easily could have been the “right.” Free speech isn’t the issue. The real issue is actions, and I fundamentally disagree with rushing to conclusions when we know so little (beyond what the media tells us).
Rhetoric like this only fuels the left/right culture war. It’s a distraction from what’s really happening in this country, which I think is the ultimate goal.
