Ah, got it. Thanks. Also, in “Configure your relays…” there are a lot of relays connected by default. Is it recommended to leave as is or disable some?

Depends. With a good paid relay you can disable some of the other default relays.

If you are not sure which you can check Relay Connection Stats, keep the relays at the top where you receive most from, remove redundant ones lower on the list.

My top 3 is basically:

1. Great paid relay

2. Well known fast free relay

3. Slower relay but almost always finds the missing posts 1 & 2 don’t have.

Question on terminology: In “Configure your relays…” there is Receive from and Publish to options. Should these match Read and Write respectively in “Announce your relays…”?

And should Inbox relays be read only?

The relay wizard probably needs a remake, it's confusing due to the way nostr relays/outbox works and the terms developers use.

To try to keep it a bit simple, "Announce..." is where you tell others:

"Hey, I post (write) to these relays, so if you want to see my posts, you should look on those"

and:

"I use these relays to receive (read) posts, so if you have a message for me, posts it there"

What you "Announce..." is just informational for others and can be different from the "Configure your relays..." section.

The first (Announce) is telling people you hang out at the mall, the second (Configure) is you deciding to go by car (paid relay) or public transport (free relay), the other people don't need to know how you get there or use the same transport, just make just you end up at same mall(s) or you will never meet.

Ideally this should all be automated/hidden without losing its advantages, unfortunately you have to be a bit of an IT admin now to get this stuff right.

Yes Nostr relays in general are somewhat confusing. I’ve read about the Gossip model, outbox/write/inbox/read but hard to get my head around how to actually choose what for which. But you’ve got a cool concept in Nostur. I noticed on an article I recently posted, YakiHonne shows I got 5 reactions but Nostur only shoes 1. Would that be related to how I have my relays set up or something else?
