I do wonder, because so many of us are invested into BTC, if the moves affect activity.

I'm not really a compulsive price checker anymore. The only number I care about going up is my long term storage corn.
I think my feed slows down during and after conferences, and at night and maybe in the summer. And I think there were just two conferences back to back. 🦜
Same, I used to check all day everyday. Not so much anymore. No need, price is an illusion at this point.

Maybe as a lot of folks are keen to maintain an air of calm positivity and don’t want people to know sometimes they get down or pissed off about things?

It happens. I want to encourage user interaction to not be attached to "money go up". That would be a failure.
Agreed. However, If people continue to be themselves and post about things that interest them, especially if, shudder the thought, it’s not btc related, the platform should grow organically.
Feels like I’ve been here before with the Fediverse. For 3 years it felt much like this. Then Elno bought X and the TL went nuts!
Maybe the future of social media is more platforms based around niche interests? That’s a win as far as I’m concerned.
