Displaying or not, Zaps are public. The IRS already knows you received them.
Is there a way to not display Zaps on profiles nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z

How does the irs know?
In any event, I would prefer that they don't display. I was showing a friend the app and he clicked the link by my profile ( or scanned a QR code by my profile) and it showed my profile and sats ....he thought this was information that would be better private. I wouldn't share the balance in my fiat wallet with the general public.... Why would I display this?
In the same way that bitcoin transactions are fully public and can be watched by the IRS, zaps can also be watched by them. There are private zaps, but very few clients implement them. The majority of zaps you receive are public and you cannot change that (it's the sender's choice).
If you don't want to receive public zaps, don't add the lightning address to your profile.
