We need to remember that Nostr is much more than just Damus and zaps. While I am hopeful that a solution will be found to the Damus App Store issue, Nostr as an open protocol continues to exist even if access to a particular client is disrupted. As long as we have our private keys we can continue to use Nostr with any other client. Nostr cannot be stopped.
Discussion
I use Damus and still see it in the Japanese Apple Store. Also I can still zap.
While nostr cannot be stopped, the lack of really well made native client will affect the number of regular users a lot (which is already not very high).
Agreed, losing Damus would definitely have an impact on the number of regular users. Some of the other iOS clients are starting to look pretty good now but Damus is still my preferred client.
I never used damus.
Amethyst seems to be a pretty good Android app.
