Watched Final Destination 2 (2003), a horror movie directed by David R. Ellis. Same concept as the first one. Exact same thing. A young woman and others survive a deadly accident. They are then followed by Death and they try to cheat its plan. The survivor of the first movie returns to help them. There’s a little bit more insight as to what’s going on compared to the first movie. But it’s still doesn’t make that much sense. The deadly accident at the beginning of the movie, with the log truck is excellent. Great special effects. 5.8/10 #nodereviews

That was a great scene. I'm firing up the first after supper.

I just finished the third one. It’s the exact same recipe. Trash 😂
I already reviewed the last one. Same as the first but way worse acting.
Bloodlines? The one that came out this summer. It’s the first one of the series I saw. My favourite so far
Yes. We'll agree to disagree 😂. I think they put a great spin on the theme, but it was literally the same plot with awkward acting.
Agree to disagree yes 😂
Totally agree with the second part: same plot, same recipe in all 4 I’ve seen so far. Only ones left to see are final destination 4 and the final destination (aka number 5)
Fuck me, I did not realize there were 6...I watched the first one in theaters waaaaay back and I don't think I've watched it since 🤔. We watched the roller coaster one with friends not too long ago (yikes!) and then we just watched this new one. I was wanting to marathon watch them, but I think I'd rather wash my hair or slide down the razor blade slide.
The roller coaster one I saw last night. Number 3. That scene was nice. Good special effects. Also the scene in the gym with all the meatheads was excellent 🤣
Okay, couldn't remember which one that was. I think they all probably have one or two kills that everyone is like "yeah that was nice" 😂.
That’s the one thing they got going for them 😂😂
I've seen better for sure. That said, they're really the only scary-ish movies I can watch. I'm a scaredy cat 🤷♀️
I understand. I love the really scary ones.
It was the best one really.
If you like horror comedy, there’s 2 with Tyler Labine that are great: Tucker & Dale VS Evil and Cottage Country (Hamlet adaptation )
The remake of Cabin In The Woods is also pretty great horror comedy
Tucker & Dale is awesome!
We are editing a podcast episode where we talk about all 6 of these movies 🤣
Ah so you started your podcast! Nice
Is the conclusion that these movies don’t make any sense? 🤣
Yeah we’re trying it out for funsies! ☺️
I like the Final Destination movies for what they are. You gotta go into them knowing that they’re trashy gore movies. It’s all about the kills and the ridiculous ways they make it happen. Some of them actually have some good editing but they’re not scary and the premise makes very little sense and you can’t think too much about them. That’s especially true with the newest one. But we love Tony Todd(RIP) chewing the scenery and the kills that make no sense.
Steer clear of the 4th one. Idk what happened. They had almost twice the budget of the others but it looks like a cheap tv movie. And I think they hired extras for the main cast, no joke.
Guilty pleasure movies. We laugh more than anything while watching them.
Like I said it’s entertaining. A bit. But the plot doesn’t make sense. I don’t know about guilty pleasure. Guilty pleasure assumes that they’re good. 😂
Would probably be better to watch as they come out instead of in a marathon
Oh we just marathoned them over a week. To me, guilty pleasure means they’re bad but I like them anyways 🤣
I get it. 😂
I think they’re missing a few elements for me to think they’re good.
Bloodlines is the best so far as there’s sufficient background to make it make sense in that universe
Yeah I really liked how they unpacked the whole concept! Seems like they tied the whole series together assuming the descendants were the victims in the first 5 movies. Surprisingly I like 5 the best. The gymnasts death actually frightened me and I enjoyed the gimmick of killing someone to replace your place in line even though it was never brought up before…
Exactly! I find since there was so much content before bloodlines, they were finally able to make it into a cohesive story that made sense. Good writing could have done that in one movie also 🤣
I’ll pretend I didn’t see what you wrote about the 5. Didn’t see it yet
I think 4 was so bad it made me like 5 more than I would have normally
Next one in line is number 4 😂
Now I’m curious of how bad it can get
